Moji

Moji chair in curved solid timber, with a board backrest and slender legs, three-quarter view

Moji is a chair conceived to be placed in repetition in waiting rooms. All its expression is reduced to a single gesture: the bending of a solid timber board that receives the body and lets its grain show. The joinery stays hidden in a steel frame beneath the seat, so that only the essential form remains in view.

Its curvature allows different ways of sitting and leaning, and when not in use the piece becomes a surface. Aligned in series, the chairs build a serene rhythm in the space and lend dignity to the everyday time of waiting.
